Kesatuan Pelaut Indonesia (KPI) has conducted the negotiation and signing of the IBF Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) 2026–2027, in collaboration with the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the International Maritime Employers’ Council (IMEC) on 17 October 2025, held at the SMOU office, Singapore. The meeting was attended by Mr. I Dewa Nyoman Budiasa, General Secretary of KPI, along with representatives from ITF John Canias (Maritime Operations Coordinator) and Sonam Dugdak (Section Assistant), as well as Francesco Gargiulo, CEO of IMEC. This signing reaffirms KPI’s commitment to protecting and upholding fair and standardized working conditions for Indonesian seafarers serving on Flag of Convenience (FOC) vessels covered under this agreement.
